Employability Skills Development seminar for SLIIT Students

On 18th September 2025, Priyanjana Rodrigo and I conducted an online session of the Employability Skills Development Seminar Series at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), titled "Tools and Technologies Used in the Software Development Industry." This session was tailored for second-year students, with the goal of equipping them to meet the evolving expectations of the IT industry.

I delivered a deep dive into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), showcasing industry-standard tools and platforms used at each stage—from requirement gathering and design to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Through practical examples, we highlighted how mastering these tools and technologies can significantly enhance career readiness and long-term success in Software Engineering and related fields.
